Pit Fighter is a fighting video game released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1994. It was developed and published by Leland Corporation, a subsidiary of Atari Games. The game features digitized graphics and motion capture animation.

The player takes control of one of four characters: Brad, Buzz, Ty or Kato. Each character has their own unique set of moves and abilities. The goal is to defeat all nine opponents in order to win the tournament and become the champion Pit Fighter. The player can choose from three difficulty levels; easy, medium and hard. Each level increases the strength of the opponent’s attacks as well as their health points.

The game features two modes: single-player mode and two-player mode. In single-player mode, the player faces off against computer-controlled opponents in one-on-one matches until they defeat all nine opponents or lose all their lives. In two-player mode, two players can compete against each other using either split screen or link cable play.

Each character has a special move that they can use to instantly defeat any opponent regardless of health points remaining; these moves require energy which is collected by successfully executing combos and finishing moves on opponents. Players also have access to power ups such as health potions which restore some health points after being struck by an opponent’s attack.

Pit Fighter features multiple stages with varying backgrounds and hazards such as fire pits or spikes on walls that will damage characters if they are thrown into them by an opponent’s attack. There are also bonus stages where players must complete objectives such as destroying specific objects within a time limit to earn extra points or items that can be used during fights such as weapons or shields for added protection against attacks from opponents.

Overall, Pit Fighter for SNES is an enjoyable fighting game with great visuals and responsive controls that makes it easy for players to execute combos or special moves with ease. Its wide variety of characters, stages and power ups adds plenty of replay value while its two-player mode allows friends to compete against each other for bragging rights over who can become the ultimate Pit Fighter champion!
