Home Alone 2: Lost in New York is a 1992 platformer video game released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). It was developed by Imagineering Inc. and published by THQ Inc. The game is based on the popular movie of the same name, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, which was released the same year.

The game follows Kevin McCallister as he travels to New York City and gets lost in the bustling metropolis. He must find his way back home while outrunning and outsmarting a couple of bumbling burglars, Harry and Marv. Along his journey through Manhattan, Kevin will have to run, jump, climb and duck in order to avoid danger while collecting items such as toys, coins and keys that will help him progress through each level.

Players control Kevin with a standard 8-directional controller pad. The objective of each level is to reach the end without getting caught by Harry or Marv or running out of time. As you move through each level, you can pick up various items that can be used to help you progress such as keys for locked doors or coins for purchasing items from shops. You can also collect power-ups such as invincibility stars that make it easier to pass through enemies unharmed or an extra life if you happen to die during your adventure.

During each level there are also mini-games that will challenge your reflexes and memory skills such as matching games where you must match similar objects or Simon Says type games where you must remember sequences of button presses. There are also hidden bonus levels scattered throughout the game which offer additional points once completed successfully.

Each level has its own unique set of obstacles and enemies ranging from rats and birds to police officers and gangsters that try to impede your progress by shooting at Kevin with their guns or throwing punches at him when he gets too close. To defeat these foes Kevin can use his trusty slingshot which can fire rocks at them in order to stun them temporarily allowing him to escape without harm.

Home Alone 2: Lost in New York offers players an exciting platforming adventure filled with action packed levels filled with tricky puzzles that require careful thought and skillful execution in order to complete them successfully!
