Bomberman is an iconic action-puzzle video game created by Hudson Soft and published by Nintendo. Originally released in 1985 on the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), Bomberman has been ported to numerous platforms over the years, including the Super NES, Game Boy, Playstation, Xbox 360, and many more. The game involves a small robot character named “Bomberman” who is tasked with entering different mazes and detonating bombs to eliminate enemies and obstacles in order to progress through the levels. Along the way, power-ups can be collected that enable Bomberman to increase his speed or bomb size, or even gain additional lives.

The goal of each level is for Bomberman to reach a door at the end of the maze which will lead him to the next stage. However, this isn’t as easy as it sounds; enemies are scattered throughout each level which must be eliminated before progress can be made. Enemies come in various forms such as crabs and dragons, some of which can move around quickly while others remain stationary until provoked. In addition to eliminating enemies with bombs, Bomberman can also use blocks and items found in each stage to create pathways or gain access to previously inaccessible areas.

As players progress through the levels they will find themselves facing increasingly difficult challenges such as faster moving enemies or more powerful bombs that must be used strategically in order to clear out entire sections of a maze at once. Each level also contains hidden items such as power-ups that provide extra lives or enhanced abilities when collected. Additionally there are bonus stages which involve collecting coins within a given time limit or avoiding obstacles while searching for keys needed to unlock special doors leading to bonus levels.

Though originally released over 30 years ago on NES, Bomberman remains one of Nintendo’s most beloved titles due its simple yet addictive gameplay mechanics and vibrant 8-bit visuals. The game has spawned countless sequels over the years all of which have maintained its classic formula but with added features such as online multiplayer modes and new characters with unique abilities. The original NES version of Bomberman is still widely available today for those looking for a nostalgic gaming experience from their childhoods.
