Back to the Future Part II & III is a classic Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) game released in 1989 by LJN, based on the Back to the Future movie trilogy. The player takes control of Marty McFly as he travels through time trying to save his future family from disaster. The game consists of four levels which are based on key scenes from the movies.

In level one, the player must help Doc Brown escape from Biff Tannen’s gang at Hill Valley’s mall parking lot. To do this, the player must collect items such as keys and tools while avoiding obstacles like cars and barrels thrown by Biff’s gang. Once Doc has been rescued, they can move onto level two where they must find a way to stop Griff Tannen’s plan to take over Hill Valley in 2015.

Level three sees Marty travelling back to 1885 and attempting to rescue Doc Brown who has been taken prisoner by Mad Dog Tannen and his gang. In this level, Marty needs to avoid obstacles such as cactuses and rattlesnakes while also finding items that will help him free Doc Brown. Level four involves a race against time (literally) as Marty attempts to get back to 1985 before he runs out of fuel for the DeLorean time machine – he will need to collect fuel cans along the way whilst avoiding enemies like robots and flying cars.

Back to the Future Part II & III also features some mini-games which can be accessed between levels – these include “Doc’s Duel” where players must shoot bottles with a laser gun; “Marty’s Maze Madness” which requires players to navigate mazes; and “Marty Race” which is a racing game using skateboards or hoverboards.

Overall, Back to the Future Part II & III is an enjoyable NES game that captures elements of all three movies in its storyline and gameplay – it provides hours of entertainment for fans of the movie trilogy or those just looking for an exciting adventure game!
