Space Ace is a laserdisc interactive movie video game developed by Don Bluth Studios and released by Cinematronics in 1983. The game was ported to several home systems including the Sega CD/Mega-CD released in 1994. Space Ace is an action-adventure game where players take control of the heroic Ace, who must rescue his girlfriend Kimberly from the evil Commander Borf.

The Sega CD/Mega-CD version of Space Ace features the original arcade footage, presented in full motion video (FMV). Players must guide Ace through various scenes and levels, making decisions and taking action at key points to progress. The gameplay is similar to that of Dragon's Lair, with players having to move and press buttons when prompted on screen. In addition to the regular levels, there are also bonus stages that can be unlocked for extra points.

The Sega CD/Mega-CD version has improved graphics and sound compared to the original arcade release. The FMV sequences have been remastered for better quality and the visuals have been enhanced with more vibrant colors and sharper details. The audio has also been improved with richer sounds and clearer dialogue.

In addition to the standard gameplay mode, Space Ace also includes a special "Ace Mode" which allows players to watch all of the FMV sequences without having to play through them or make any decisions. This mode gives players a chance to appreciate all of Don Bluth's animation without having to worry about making mistakes or missing key moments in order to progress further in the game.

Space Ace is an enjoyable classic adventure title that fans of Don Bluth's work will appreciate, as well as those looking for an old school challenge. The improved visuals and sound make it even more enjoyable than its predecessor while still retaining its original charm. With its engaging story and unique gameplay elements, Space Ace continues to be held in high regard among gamers today.
