Ground Zero Texas is a survival horror game released for the Sega CD and Mega-CD in 1993. Developed by Digital Pictures and published by Sega, it is an interactive movie-style game with some light action elements. The player takes on the role of three protagonists - a rookie police officer, a journalist, and an ex-convict - as they investigate a series of mysterious occurrences in their small Texas town.

The story begins when Officer Jake McAllister is assigned to investigate strange occurrences at the local oil refinery. After arriving at the refinery, he discovers that something sinister is going on: strange creatures are roaming around and there are reports of missing people in the area. As Jake investigates further, he comes across a group of cultists known as the Children of Chaos who appear to be behind the events. He also encounters an army unit that has been sent to contain whatever is happening at the refinery.

Meanwhile, reporter Laura Powers has been sent to cover the story for her newspaper. She quickly finds out that something supernatural is occurring in Ground Zero Texas and teams up with Jake to uncover more about what’s going on. Finally, former convict Mike Denton joins them after being recruited by his old friend Marcus Gray, who works for the Children of Chaos and may know more than he’s letting on.

As they investigate further, they uncover evidence that suggests that something much larger than just a cult is behind what’s happening in Ground Zero Texas. They soon find themselves caught up in an all-out war between two powerful forces: one from beyond this world and another from within it. With time running out, they must use all their skills and resources to save themselves – and possibly humanity – from destruction.

Ground Zero Texas combines interactive movie gameplay with exploration elements as players navigate their way through various environments while trying to uncover what’s really going on in Ground Zero Texas. The game features branching paths based on decisions made throughout the course of gameplay which can lead to different endings depending on how well players fare throughout their investigation. The visuals are presented using digitized actors which give off a unique B-movie feel, while its soundtrack helps set an eerie atmosphere throughout its 15+ hours of playtime (depending on which path you take).

Overall, Ground Zero Texas provides players with an engaging experience as they unravel a mystery full of suspenseful moments while trying to survive against impossible odds. Its interactive movie gameplay makes it stand out among other titles released at its time while its multiple endings provide replayability value for those looking for a longer experience or different outcomes each time they play through it.
