Sol-Deace is a side-scrolling shooter game developed and published by Sega for the Sega CD and Mega-CD systems. It was released in Japan on December 27, 1993, and in North America on March 9, 1994. In Sol-Deace, players take control of a fighter jet named 'Solvalou', as they battle their way through six levels of intense action.

The story follows the Solvalou's pilot, Ace, who must save his home planet of Earth from an alien invasion force led by an evil entity known as the "Evil Dark Emperor." Ace must fly through six stages filled with enemies and obstacles while collecting power-ups to help him defeat the aliens. At the end of each stage, Ace faces off against a powerful boss character. Once all bosses have been defeated, Ace can then face off against the Evil Dark Emperor himself.

Gameplay wise, Sol-Deace is a classic side-scrolling shooter game that utilizes both horizontal and vertical scrolling elements. Players control their craft with either a joystick or D-pad depending on their console setup. The game includes three different weapons that can be used in combat: machine guns, missiles, and bombs. These weapons are powered up by collecting power-ups throughout each level. Additionally, players can also collect special items such as shields and speed boosts which enhance their ship's abilities in battle.

The visuals in Sol-Deace are quite impressive for its time; featuring detailed backgrounds combined with vibrant enemy sprites that animate smoothly across the screen during gameplay sequences. The audio consists mostly of synthesized music tracks that accompany each stage along with sound effects for when enemies are destroyed or when certain power ups are collected.

Overall, Sol-Deace is an enjoyable side scrolling shooter game that offers plenty of intense action for fans of the genre to enjoy on their Sega CD or Mega CD consoles. While it may not be as well known as some other titles for these systems (such as Sonic CD), it still provides plenty of exciting gameplay moments for those who give it a chance.
