Shikinjou is a side-scrolling action platformer game for the Sega Game Gear. It was developed by Video System and released in Japan on April 24, 1992. The game has two modes: Story Mode and Versus Mode.

Story Mode follows the story of a young ninja named Shikinjou who is tasked with retrieving four magic scrolls from an evil demon. He must travel across five stages in order to complete his mission. Each stage contains enemies, obstacles, and traps that will challenge the player's skills. The game also has power-ups that can be collected to increase Shikinjou's health and attack power. As he progresses through each stage, Shikinjou must defeat bosses before being able to move on to the next stage.

The Versus Mode allows up to three players to battle against each other using their own characters or those of their friends. Players can choose from four different characters: Shikinjou, Goro, Momo, and Chibi. Each character has their own unique abilities and attacks which can be used against opponents in order to win battles. The VS mode also features special items such as bombs and shurikens which can be used to gain an advantage over opponents during fights.

The graphics of Shikinjou are quite impressive for its time period; the backgrounds are detailed and colorful while the sprites are well animated. The music is composed by Mecano Associates who have created some memorable tunes for other games such as Street Fighter II and OutRunners.

Overall, Shikinjou is an enjoyable classic game that still holds up today due its fun gameplay mechanics and charming visuals. It offers both single-player Story Mode as well as multiplayer Versus Mode which makes it great for playing with friends or family members alike!
