Aero Fighters is a vertical scrolling shoot 'em up video game released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1992. The game was developed by Video System and published by Romstar and was later ported to the Sega Saturn in 1995.

Aero Fighters puts the player in control of one of eight different fighter jets, each with its own unique abilities and attributes. Players can choose from four different levels of difficulty, ranging from easy to difficult. The goal of each level is to defeat all enemies and reach the end boss, who must be defeated in order to progress to the next level. Throughout each level, players will encounter various enemy planes as well as ground-based targets such as tanks and helicopters. Power-ups can also be collected throughout each level, which give players an edge against their foes.

The game features two-player simultaneous play, allowing both players to team up against the enemy forces. Players can also choose between three levels of firepower: weak, normal and strong. At the end of each stage, players are given a score based on their performance as well as bonus points for completing certain objectives. These scores can then be used to purchase upgrades for their planes such as faster speed or stronger weapons.

The graphics in Aero Fighters are colorful and vibrant with detailed backgrounds that feature cities, waterfalls, forests and more. There is also a variety of sound effects that accompany every action taken by both players and enemies alike. A soundtrack composed specifically for this title plays throughout every level adding to the excitement of aerial combat.

Overall, Aero Fighters offers an intense experience filled with thrilling air battles across varied landscapes that make it one of the best shoot 'em up games available on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). With its colorful graphics, catchy soundtrack and fast-paced gameplay, it's no wonder why it has remained popular among retro gamers since its original release over two decades ago!
