Parallel World is a video game for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) released in 1987 by Bandai. The game was developed by Ape Inc., and was published by Bandai in Japan and Europe. The game is set in a parallel world, where two different types of creatures exist: the normal human beings and the mysterious aliens known as "Kaiyans". The player takes control of one of the Kaiyans, named Tarou, who has been sent to this parallel world to find out what is happening there.

The player must explore the world, completing various tasks such as finding items and solving puzzles. Along the way they will encounter various enemies which they must defeat in order to progress further into the game. As they progress, Tarou will gain new abilities that will help him explore deeper into this strange land. These abilities include being able to jump higher and farther than before, being able to break blocks with his fist and even being able to fly for short periods of time. As well as these abilities, Tarou can also collect items that can be used to upgrade his stats such as health or attack power.

The main objective of Parallel World is for Tarou to reach the center of the world and discover its secrets. Along with this main objective there are also numerous side quests which reward players with power-ups or items that can be used throughout their journey. The game also features a password system so that players can save their progress at any point in time without having to start over from scratch if they die or get stuck on a part of the game.

Throughout Parallel World players are presented with interesting environments filled with all sorts of enemies, traps and puzzles that need to be solved in order for them to advance further into the game. There are several levels included in Parallel World which increase in difficulty as you progress further into it making it an enjoyable challenge for players of all skill levels. Additionally, there are many secrets hidden throughout each level which give players even more incentive to explore every nook and cranny while playing through it.
