Amagon is an action platformer video game developed and published by Capcom for the Nintendo Entertainment System. It was released in North America on August 1, 1989 and in Japan on October 12, 1989. The game stars a young boy named Amagon, who can transform into a giant monster to fight enemies.

The player controls Amagon as he traverses through seven stages of action-packed platforming levels filled with enemies and obstacles. The ultimate goal of each stage is to find the exit door at the end before time runs out. Along the way, there are power-ups that can help the player progress through the level, such as extra lives or invincibility stars. In addition to jumping and shooting enemies with his gun, Amagon can also transform into a giant monster form that has more powerful attacks and abilities than his regular form.

The game’s main objective is to reach the end of each stage without running out of time or health in order to progress further through the game. As players progress through each level they will come across various enemies such as robots, birds, snakes and more that must be defeated in order to advance. To defeat these enemies, Amagon can shoot them with his gun or attack them directly while in monster form. Additionally, there are several bonus rounds throughout the game that offer rewards such as extra points or items if completed successfully.

Throughout all seven stages of Amagon’s journey lies an exciting soundtrack composed by Harumi Fujita which adds an additional layer of excitement to every moment of gameplay. With its exciting combat mechanics and challenging platforming sections, Amagon provides hours of entertainment for fans of classic 8-bit games looking for a challenge from start to finish.
