Some levels feature bosses that must be defeated before progressing any further; these fights are usually quite challenging but rewarding if successful. After completing each level players will receive points based on how well they did in it; these points can then be used to purchase power-ups from shops located throughout the game world which can make later levels easier to complete or give Darkman an edge over his opponents in battle.
