The Adventures of Star Saver is an action-packed platformer game released for the Nintendo Game Boy in 1992. Developed by Asmik and published by JVC, the game puts players in control of a daring hero as he embarks on an epic quest to save the universe from evil forces.
Players take control of a brave space pilot named Star Saver who must use his special skills and abilities to save the universe from the sinister plans of Dr. Warumon, a mad scientist who has stolen four powerful crystals that will give him ultimate power if used correctly. To prevent such a disaster, Star Saver must journey across three planets - Earth, Mars and Saturn - collecting all four crystals before they fall into Warumon’s hands. Along the way, he will face off against enemies such as robots, aliens and other bizarre creatures as he explores each planet’s unique environments.
Gameplay in The Adventures of Star Saver involves running, jumping and shooting at enemies while avoiding traps and obstacles scattered throughout each level. The player can also collect coins to purchase upgrades which boost Star Saver’s health or grant him new abilities such as double jumps or increased speed. In addition to exploring levels filled with secrets and bonus items, players must also complete various mini-games which range from shooting galleries to puzzle challenges. After completing all stages in a level, players will fight against powerful bosses before finally taking on Dr. Warumon himself.
