Urban Strike is a classic side-scrolling shoot ‘em up video game released for the Nintendo Game Boy in 1994. Developed by Electronic Arts and published by Mindscape, Urban Strike was the third installment in the Strike series of games, following Jungle Strike and Desert Strike.

The game is set in a fictional future where the world is on the brink of global destruction. Players take control of an AH-64 Apache helicopter and must battle their way through six stages of intense action as they try to save the world from total destruction. Along the way, players will have to fight off enemy forces such as tanks, jets, helicopters, and ships while rescuing hostages and completing various objectives.

Gameplay in Urban Strike takes place from an overhead perspective. The player’s Apache helicopter is equipped with a variety of weapons that can be used to destroy enemies and obstacles. These weapons include machine guns, missiles, bombs, lasers, and napalm strikes. As players progress through each stage, they will encounter different enemies who all possess unique abilities that must be overcome with skillful strategy and quick reflexes.

In addition to its standard shooting action gameplay, Urban Strike also features several bonus levels which reward players with additional points when completed successfully. These bonus levels include races against time or other aircrafts as well as challenging puzzles which require players to solve various brain teasers before they’re allowed to progress further into the game.

Urban Strike also offers two-player cooperative play via link cable where two players can join forces to tackle each stage together. This allows them to combine their firepower for more powerful attacks or split up for more strategic assaults against larger groups of enemies.

Overall, Urban Strike is an exciting and highly entertaining action shooter that offers plenty of challenge for experienced gamers as well as those new to this genre of gaming. With its simple yet addictive gameplay mechanics combined with its vibrant visuals and intense sound effects, it’s no wonder why this classic title remains a favorite among fans even today.
