The World Cup USA 94 was a 1994 football (soccer) game released for the Sega CD and Mega-CD. It was developed by U.S. Gold and published by Electronic Arts, and was based on the FIFA World Cup held in the United States that same year. The game featured all 24 teams that participated in the tournament, as well as various stadiums from around the world. The player could choose to play a single match, or take part in a full tournament with all of the teams competing to win the cup.

The game featured two different modes: a standard match mode where players can choose their team and opponents and compete on one of several pitches around the world, or an exhibition mode where they can play against computer-controlled opponents. The game also allowed up to four players to compete against each other in either mode. In addition to this, there were special features such as penalty shootouts, weather conditions (including rain and snow), adjustable difficulty levels and more.

In terms of graphics, World Cup USA 94 had some impressive visuals for its time. The players were rendered using digitized sprites which gave them a realistic look compared to other games of its era. The animation during matches was also smooth and fluid with little delay between frames making it look like real life action instead of a video game simulation. The music was also composed specifically for this title and added atmosphere to the gameplay experience.

World Cup USA 94 was one of the first football games released for Sega’s CD systems and it stands out due to its realism compared to other titles released at that time. It offered an enjoyable gaming experience that captured what it felt like to actually be playing in a FIFA World Cup tournament with lots of features designed specifically for this purpose such as penalty shootouts, adjustable difficulty levels and multiple stadiums around the world. Even today, this title is still considered one of the best football games ever made thanks to its immersive gameplay experience which has stood up surprisingly well over time despite its age.
