Knuckles Chaotix is a platform game developed by Sega and released for the Sega 32X console in 1995. It was the only original title released for the system, and is notable for being one of the few games to feature characters from the Sonic the Hedgehog series. The game stars Knuckles the Echidna, along with four other characters: Mighty the Armadillo, Espio the Chameleon, Vector the Crocodile, and Charmy Bee.

The game has a unique two-player cooperative mode that requires players to work together to complete levels. Players are connected by a "bond" meter which can be extended by collecting rings. If either player loses all their rings or falls off a ledge they will be pulled back up by their partner. This co-op feature adds an interesting twist to the traditional platforming gameplay.

The gameplay in Knuckles Chaotix revolves around using each character's abilities to traverse levels filled with obstacles and enemies. All five characters have different abilities such as double-jumping, gliding, climbing walls and swinging on vines. Players must use these abilities in conjunction with each other in order to progress through levels. The game also features power-ups that temporarily give characters special abilities such as invincibility or increased speed.

In addition to its single-player mode, Knuckles Chaotix also features various multiplayer modes including versus play and a time attack mode where players compete against each other for high scores. The game also includes an extensive level editor which allows players to create their own levels and share them with friends via passwords or link cables (for multiplayer).

Overall Knuckles Chaotix is an enjoyable platformer that offers something unique compared to other titles in its genre thanks to its innovative two-player cooperative mechanics and extensive level editor tools. While it may not be remembered as fondly as some of Sega's classic 16-bit games it still remains a solid entry in their library of games and should not be overlooked by those looking for a fun platformer experience on their 32X console
