Wrestle War is a professional wrestling video game developed by Technōs Japan Corporation and released for the Sega Genesis/Mega Drive in 1991. The game was based on the popular American wrestling promotion, World Championship Wrestling (WCW), which at the time was owned by Turner Broadcasting System. The game featured a variety of wrestlers from WCW's roster, including Sting, Big Van Vader, Ric Flair, Lex Luger and many more.

The main objective of Wrestle War is to defeat all of your opponents in the ring and become the champion. Players can do this either by pinning their opponents or making them submit with special holds. There are several different modes of play in Wrestle War: Single Match (1-on-1 match), Tag Team Match (2-on-2 match) and Battle Royal (4-man free for all). Each mode has its own set of rules and strategies that must be employed to win.

The graphics in Wrestle War are quite good for its time, featuring large sprites and detailed backgrounds. The controls are also very responsive and easy to use, although some may find them a bit too simplistic compared to other wrestling games of the era. The sound effects are also quite good, although they can get repetitive after a while.

Wrestle War offers plenty of replay value thanks to its various modes of play, as well as its wide selection of wrestlers and movesets. It’s an enjoyable game overall, although it may not stand up well compared to modern wrestling titles due to its age and dated visuals/audio. Nevertheless, it still remains a classic among wrestling fans who fondly remember playing it during their childhoods.
