Undercover Cops is a side-scrolling beat ‘em up video game released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) in 1992. Developed by Taito Corporation and published by Romstar, Inc., Undercover Cops was one of the first games released on the SNES. The game stars three rookie cops - Tony, Mark and John - who have been assigned to take down an evil gang known as the Kowloon Triads.

The player takes control of one of the three cops and must battle their way through eight stages filled with enemies. The stages are set in various locations such as a city street, a park, a sewer, a factory, and even an amusement park. Along the way, players can pick up power-ups that will help them in their quest such as health packs or extra lives. As they progress through each stage, players will face off against increasingly difficult bosses who must be defeated before moving on to the next level.

The graphics in Undercover Cops are quite basic but still manage to capture the atmosphere of each stage effectively. The character sprites are well animated and move fluidly throughout the levels. The background music is also catchy and sets an appropriate tone for each location. The sound effects are fairly basic but still work well with the action on screen.

Gameplay wise, Undercover Cops features simple yet enjoyable beat ‘em up gameplay that should appeal to fans of this genre. Players can attack enemies with punches and kicks as well as use special moves when certain buttons are pressed together at once. There is also a two-player mode which allows two players to team up against enemies simultaneously.

Overall, Undercover Cops is a fun little beat ‘em up title that should appeal to fans of this genre looking for some classic arcade action on their SNES console. While it may not be as polished or feature-rich as some of its competitors from this era, it’s still an enjoyable title that should provide some hours of entertainment for those willing to give it a try.
