On the Ball is a sports video game developed and published by Ocean Software for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1995. The game was released exclusively in Europe and Australia, and is one of the few SNES games to never be released in North America.

The game features four different sports: Soccer, Rugby, Basketball and American Football. Each sport has its own unique gameplay mechanics which makes it stand out from other sports games on the SNES. In Soccer, players control one or two teams of up to five players each. The objective is to score goals against the opponent team by using various offensive and defensive moves such as passing and tackling. There are also several bonus power-ups which can be used to gain an advantage over the opposing team.

In Rugby, players control one or two teams of up to seven players each. The objective is to score points against the opponent team by carrying the ball across their goal line or kicking it between posts. As with Soccer, there are several bonus power-ups that can be used to gain an advantage over the opposing team.

In Basketball, players control a single player on a three-on-three court. The objective is to score more points than the opposing team by shooting baskets from various positions on the court as well as performing dunks and layups. There are also several bonus power-ups that can be used during play.

Finally, in American Football, players control one or two teams of up to eleven players each. The objective is to score more points than the opposing team by completing passes and running with the ball across their goal line or kicking it through their goal posts while avoiding tackles from defenders along the way. As with all other sports featured in On The Ball, there are several bonus power-ups that can be used throughout play which can help give you an advantage over your opponents.

Overall On The Ball offers a great variety of sports for gamers looking for something different than just soccer or basketball games on their SNES consoles at home. With its unique gameplay mechanics and bonus power ups for each sport featured in this title makes it one of those rare gems that unfortunately never made it out of Europe and Australia but still remains highly sought after today among SNES collectors around the world .
