4 Nin Shougi is a classic Super Nintendo game released in 1994. It is a strategic board game based on the Japanese game Shougi, which dates back to the 16th century. The goal of 4 Nin Shougi is to capture your opponent’s king piece while protecting your own.

The game starts with both players having four pieces each: one king, two gold generals, and one silver general. The pieces are placed on opposite sides of the board, facing each other with the kings in the center. Players can move their pieces around the board by jumping over up to three spaces at a time. Capturing an opposing piece requires that it be surrounded by two of your own pieces from either side or from behind. When a piece is captured it is removed from the board and placed off to the side until it can be re-entered into play as another piece. Victory is achieved when either player captures their opponent’s king.

Players can choose from five different levels of difficulty ranging from Beginner to Expert, as well as three different kinds of computer opponents: Human, Machine, and Monster AI (which uses more advanced strategies). There are also several options for customizing the look and feel of the game including background music and sound effects. Additionally, there are several bonus features such as a “Randomizer” which randomly selects pieces for each player at the start of a match and a “Speed Mode” which changes how quickly pieces move around the board depending on how much time has elapsed in a match.

4 Nin Shougi was designed to be easy enough for beginners to pick up quickly but still challenging enough for experienced players to enjoy playing against friends or computer opponents alike. With its engaging gameplay and charming visuals, 4 Nin Shougi remains one of the most beloved Super Nintendo titles ever released.
