Seicross is an 8-bit video game released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1987. Developed by Nihon Bussan, Seicross was one of the earliest racing games released for the NES. The game centers around players controlling a futuristic hovercraft, which they must navigate across a series of racetracks while avoiding obstacles and competing against computer-controlled opponents.

The game consists of four stages, each with five levels. Players must complete each level within a certain time limit to progress to the next stage. Each level contains various obstacles such as rocks, trees, and other objects that can slow down or crash the player’s hovercraft if they are not avoided. Additionally, the opponent AI will attempt to impede your progress by shooting missiles and attempting to ram you off course.

The objective of each level is to collect all eight “Seicrons” scattered throughout the track before crossing the finish line. Collecting all eight Seicrons will give players an extra life at the end of each stage as well as bonus points based on their performance throughout the race. At certain points during the race, players can also use their collected Seicrons to purchase power ups that temporarily increase their speed or provide them with additional protection from obstacles and enemy fire.

Seicross features colorful graphics and varied terrain that range from desert landscapes to snow-covered mountainsides. The background music is upbeat and catchy, adding an extra layer of excitement to the gameplay experience. The controls are simple yet effective; players can accelerate or brake using either direction on the control pad while pressing A or B activates special abilities like jumping over obstacles or shooting at enemies with missiles.

Overall, Seicross is an enjoyable classic NES racing game that still holds up today thanks to its vibrant visuals, fun gameplay mechanics, and catchy soundtrack. Although it may be challenging for newcomers due to its fast-paced nature and punishing difficulty curve, experienced gamers will find much enjoyment in mastering its tracks and mastering its many secrets hidden throughout its stages.
