In the 1980s, Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) was the go-to game console for kids and adults alike. The graphics in Dick Tracy are detailed yet cartoonish; characters have large heads which give them an exaggerated appearance. This aesthetic is further reinforced by the bright colors used throughout the game, giving it a cheerful tone despite its serious subject matter. The music is also upbeat and catchy; composed by Manami Matsumae it creates an exciting atmosphere that keeps players engaged throughout their playthroughs.
