Adventures of Dino Riki, The is a side-scrolling shooter game developed and published by Hudson Soft for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1989. It is one of the few games released on the NES to feature dinosaurs as the main characters.

In Adventures of Dino Riki, players take control of a dinosaur named Riki who must save his home island from an alien race known as the Vile Tribe. The objective of each level is to defeat all enemies onscreen before advancing to the next area. Players can move Riki left and right, jump, and shoot energy blasts at enemies. As players progress through each level they will come across power ups that increase their health and firepower, allowing them to take out tougher enemies more quickly. Additionally, players can collect coins throughout each stage which can be used to purchase upgrades such as additional health or better weapons at stores located at certain points in the game.

The levels in Adventures of Dino Riki are varied and range from traditional platforming stages to auto-scrolling shooter stages where players must avoid obstacles while shooting down waves of enemies. In addition to regular enemy types, there are also mini-bosses which require special strategies in order to defeat them. The game’s difficulty increases as players progress further into it with tougher enemies appearing more frequently and mini-bosses becoming more difficult to defeat.

Adventures of Dino Riki features bright and colorful graphics that make it appealing even today despite its age. The soundtrack consists mostly of upbeat music that fits well with the action taking place onscreen and helps keep up a sense of excitement throughout the game’s levels. Overall, Adventures of Dino Riki is an enjoyable shooter that offers a nice variety of challenge for those looking for something different from other NES titles at the time.
