Star Wars: Super Return of the Jedi is a Nintendo Game Boy game released in 1992. It was developed by LucasArts Entertainment and published by JVC Musical Industries. The game follows the story of the movie Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi, and features Luke Skywalker as its main character. Players control Luke as he fights his way through various levels in order to save his friends from the clutches of Darth Vader and the Empire.

The gameplay of Super Return of the Jedi is very similar to that of its predecessor, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back for Game Boy. The player controls Luke, who can move left and right, jump, use a lightsaber to attack enemies, and use items such as bombs or shields to aid him in his quest. The game features several levels set on different planets from the movie, such as Endor and Tatooine.

Each level has its own unique set of enemies and obstacles to overcome, ranging from stormtroopers to AT-STs and Imperial Walkers. In addition to fighting foes with his lightsaber or using items, Luke also has access to Force Powers which he can use to help him progress through each level. These include abilities such as Force Push and Force Pull which allow him to manipulate objects around him or throw enemies off guard. He can also perform special moves like double jumps or wall jumps in order to traverse certain areas more quickly or reach otherwise inaccessible areas.

As with other games from this era, Super Return of the Jedi includes some basic platforming elements such as collecting coins scattered throughout each level that can be used for extra lives or power ups. There are also bonus stages that feature mini-games like shooting galleries where Luke must shoot down targets before time runs out in order to gain extra lives or power ups.

Overall, Super Return of the Jedi is a solid entry into the Star Wars franchise on Game Boy that captures much of what made the movie great while adding some fun platforming elements along with it. While it may not be remembered fondly compared to more modern titles based on Star Wars films such as Battlefront II (2017) or Rogue Squadron III (2003), it still stands up today as an enjoyable experience for any fan of classic 8-bit gaming or those seeking an adventure based on one of cinema’s greatest franchises ever created.
