Star Trek: Generations - Beyond the Nexus is an action-adventure video game based on the Star Trek franchise, released for the Nintendo Game Boy in 1994. Developed and published by Konami, it was the first Game Boy title to feature characters from the Star Trek universe.

The game follows Captain Jean-Luc Picard and his crew of the USS Enterprise-D as they attempt to prevent a powerful energy ribbon known as "The Nexus" from consuming all life in the galaxy. The player takes control of Picard and his away team as they explore various locations throughout space, complete missions, and battle enemies. Along with standard platforming elements, Generations also features several minigames which involve matching symbols or shooting phaser blasts at approaching enemies.

Gameplay consists of side scrolling platforming stages where players must navigate through obstacles while avoiding enemy fire and solving puzzles. Players can acquire items such as health packs and weapons upgrades which can be used to progress further in the game. Additionally, players can use their tricorder to scan objects in order to gain more information about their environment or puzzle solutions. In some levels, players must use their phasers to shoot down enemy ships before they are able to escape or reach their target.

Throughout each level, players will face various enemies ranging from Klingons to Romulans who must be defeated using either standard weapons or special attacks that are acquired by completing minigames scattered throughout each stage. After completing a level, players will be rewarded with bonus points depending on how quickly they were able to complete it. These points can then be used to purchase upgrades for their ship’s shields or weapons systems which will help them in future levels.
