Kung-Fu Master is a classic side-scrolling beat 'em up video game developed and published by Irem in 1984.

The game was released in Japan as Spartan X, and became popular enough to be ported to various home systems and arcade machines.

It is considered to be the first successful beat 'em up game, and it has been cited as a major influence on subsequent games of its genre.

The story follows Thomas, an expert martial artist who must rescue his girlfriend Sylvia from the evil Mr.

X, who has kidnapped her and taken her to his five-story tower.

To reach her, Thomas must fight his way through each of the five levels of the tower, which are filled with enemies such as ninjas, mummies, skeletons, dragons and other creatures.

Along the way he can collect power-ups that can help him in his quest, including throwing stars and magic potions that allow him to temporarily transform into a super strong version of himself.

At each level’s end there is a boss character that must be defeated before Thomas can progress to the next stage.

Once all five levels have been completed Thomas will face Mr.

X himself for a final showdown.

If Thomas succeeds in defeating him he will rescue Sylvia and save the day! Kung-Fu Master has become one of the most beloved games on Nintendo's Game Boy platform since its release in 1989.

The controls are simple but effective; players control Thomas using either the D-Pad or an analog stick depending on their preference.

The graphics are colorful yet still retain their retro charm, while the sound effects and music add an extra layer of atmosphere to the game’s already engaging gameplay experience.

Kung-Fu Master has become one of those timeless classics that keeps drawing people back no matter how many years have passed since its initial release; it’s easy to pick up but difficult to master! Its mix of simple but satisfying gameplay combined with its charming visuals make it an absolute must play for anyone looking for some old school gaming fun!
