Great Greed is an action-adventure game developed by Natsume for the Nintendo Game Boy in 1992. It was released in North America and Europe by Taito. The game follows a young boy named Gred who is on a quest to save his friend from the clutches of Great Greed, an evil demon.

The game consists of five levels that are split into two halves, each half consisting of four stages. The first half of the game focuses on exploration and puzzle-solving while the second half focuses more on combat and platforming. In each level, Gred must collect items such as hearts, keys, and coins to progress further. Along the way he will also encounter various enemies which he must defeat using his sword or other weapons he finds throughout his journey.

The objective of the game is to collect all eight pieces of a magical mirror which will allow Gred to confront Great Greed and save his friend. As Gred collects more pieces of the mirror, additional levels become accessible with increasing difficulty levels. If all eight pieces are collected then Gred can face off against Great Greed himself in a one-on-one battle with multiple phases that increase in difficulty as they progress.

Throughout his journey Gred can find items such as potions that restore health or weapons that give him an edge against enemies. He can also purchase items from shops scattered throughout the levels which can give him an advantage in battle or help solve puzzles faster. Additionally, there are hidden areas where Gred can find bonus items such as power-ups or extra lives which help make challenging sections easier to complete.

Overall, Great Greed is an enjoyable action-adventure game for those looking for something different than your typical platformer or shooter games on the Game Boy system. With its unique blend of puzzle solving and combat elements as well as its addictive gameplay mechanics it’s sure to keep you entertained for hours on end!
