The F-18 Thunder Strike is a classic game for the Nintendo Game Boy Color.

Released in 1999, it was one of the first titles to be released for the handheld console.

The game puts players in control of an F-18 Hornet fighter jet as they battle their way through various missions and levels.

Players can choose from four difficulty settings - easy, normal, hard, and expert - each with its own set of objectives and challenges.

The game also features two different play modes: mission mode and free flight mode.

In mission mode, players must complete certain objectives to progress through the levels while in free flight mode, they are free to explore the world without any restrictions or goals.

The graphics in F-18 Thunder Strike are fairly basic by today's standards but still look quite good on a Game Boy Color screen.

The music is also surprisingly good for a handheld title and helps give the game a sense of urgency as you soar around the skies looking for enemies.

Gameplay wise, F-18 Thunder Strike has several different weapons at your disposal including air-to-air missiles, bombs, cluster bombs, flares and chaffs.

You can also use defensive countermeasures such as ECM (Electronic Counter Measures) to help avoid enemy fire.

As you progress through each level you will gain access to more powerful weapons so take advantage of them when possible! In addition to these weapons there are various power ups scattered throughout each level which can be collected by flying over them.

These power ups range from extra lives to increased speed or damage output so they should not be overlooked during your missions! All in all F-18 Thunder Strike is an enjoyable title that offers plenty of intense action and challenging gameplay that will keep gamers entertained for hours on end.

Sure it may not have aged particularly well but it’s still worth checking out if you’re a fan of classic shoot ‘em ups or just want something simple yet engaging to play on your Game Boy Color system!
