Antz Racing is a Nintendo Game Boy Color game developed by Vicarious Visions and released in 2000. The game is based on the 1998 DreamWorks animated movie Antz. In the game, players take control of one of eight ants as they race against each other across a variety of courses set in locations from the movie.

The game has two modes: Story Mode and Time Attack Mode. In Story Mode, players must complete various objectives in order to progress through the story. Objectives can include beating specific opponents, collecting items scattered throughout the course, or completing laps within a certain time limit. As players progress through Story Mode, they will unlock new characters, courses, and power-ups. Time Attack Mode allows players to compete against their best times on any unlocked course.

The game features 8 different characters to choose from, each with its own unique strengths and weaknesses. Z is the main character from the film and has average speed and handling abilities. Weaver is an aggressive ant who has high speed but poor handling abilities. Azteca is an acrobatic ant who excels at performing stunts but lacks speed and acceleration. Other characters include Molt, Barbatus, Cutter, Bala, Mandible, and Princess Bala.

Each course in Antz Racing contains its own set of obstacles such as trees, rocks, logs, mounds of dirt, mud pits, water pools etc., which can be used to gain an advantage over opponents or slow them down if they try to pass you up during a race. Additionally there are also power-ups scattered throughout each course that can give your ant temporary boosts of speed or energy shields for protection against attacks from other racers.

The graphics in Antz Racing are colorful and detailed with vibrant cartoon-style visuals that accurately reflect the look of the movie it’s based on while still maintaining a unique style all its own. The soundtrack consists mostly of upbeat music tracks that fit well with the fast-paced racing action onscreen as well as some more mellow tunes for when you’re exploring between races or trying out new courses for practice runs.

Overall Antz Racing is a great racing title for fans of both the film series it’s based on as well as those looking for an exciting racing experience on their Game Boy Color console. With its bright visuals and catchy music tracks coupled with challenging courses filled with obstacles to overcome and power-ups to collect it’s sure to provide hours upon hours of entertainment for anyone looking for some fun on their handheld system!
